Antique Edwardian Chinoiserie Red Gold Brocade Bohemian Buffet Hand Painted (Set) A rare turn of the century genuine Edwardian Chinoiserie hardwood and brocade bohemian buffet. It features a maroon and rich gold velvet brocade fabric with fringed edges and is well cushioned and sprung. There are 4 cabriole claw style hand carved feet that are all hand painted black and have gold Chinese floral motifs and borders. The feet are square and scrolled and the buffet is oval shaped and is seat height. The upholstery is in great condition and it is very comfortable. The painting on the wood is all original and the designs on the some feet have worn, which is in keeping with a period chair over 100 years old. It all adds to the unique bohemian charm and this buffet is item 3 out of a set of 4 items, including a matching 3 seater sofa, an armchair and a matching Chinoiserie standard lamp, all currently listed. There is a sticker from Bonham's auction house on the foot of the sofa and these were previously sold as a set and those interested in purchasing them as a set, please message me direct.
