Different styles available: Contemporary - for the contemporary finish the beam will be planed and sanded down to a smooth finish, leaving rounded edges. Traditional - For the traditional finish I will lightly work the beam, plane it and sand it to a smooth finish. This will also have irregular curved edges which adds character. Distressed - The distressed look beam is started similar to a traditional look beam, but has deeper irregular edges, larger cracks running throughout, which leave it looking older and more rustic. (Please note when beams are placed into a central heated house or above log burners / fires; beams may slightly move and cracks widen over time. But this adds character to the overall look) You're specific requirements - I can make beams to any specific needs, I am happy to work with your own ideas to produce a beam that suits both you and your home.
